Miss Cat. Registered as Cowgirl Cattylac she has been a wonderful addition to the ranch.. VERY loving and eager to please. Will carry a novice and seasoned rider. WE just LOVE her sweet sweet personality.. More like a dog than a equine. Shes done team penning, sorting, roped off of, cattle sorting in field, and trail rides.
Pistol Her nick name given to her by her trainer. Just does not fit her. She's going to receive a VERY special nick name - Buttercup (Butter) and will wear a very special halter. Those that know my history will know the meaning of this name and the halter (Thank you Crystal)... Registered name Chex out that Cat.. ALSO a great addition to the ranch last year. She's been nothing but level headed and extremely cowy! She'll sort without a rider! She had beginning reining with Pylman performance horses last summer and was excelling according to the feedback I was getting. She was only pulled out because of our move and lack of time. She's proved also to accept seasoned riders as well as first timers. So she's a GREAT addition to our focus and future at FHL ranch.
Mercedes is a registered QH Who came to us close to two years ago. SHE has come along amazing and last summer was a lead trail horse for one of the resorts here. Shes got a kind heart and WILL do amazing things for you once she trusts you. She is a ONE PERSON horse. I can only say that there was some bad starts to her earlier training. LOTS of backing up to get her where she is today. She is rode bitless because of her fear issues around her mouth(Keep in mind you could not touch her face when she arrived) and there had been prior damage to her jaw. With that said I do not believe she would be a good candidate for a gaming horse.. TRAILS trails trails, YES she loves trails and is very confident.. :) She is kind, soft and sweet. NEVER offered to buck.. has only protested with a bit by banging her head up and down. Because of the direction of the ranch Mercedes is offered up for adoption. Strictly because she would not be suited for multiple riders.. IF interested please inquire. She will only be adopted out to a home with references and prior experience with equines. I have lots of video and photos of her.. Deb@fhlranch.com
Chico chico what do I say?? MY chico boy..... Brought into my life because of my prior fears.. Lets just say this boy has amazed me beyond belief.. HE is a retired endurance horse, quite famous actually some know him as BIG DADDY.... CA Cappochino. HE has been nothing more than a blessing, friend and love. Pulled me thru a really hard time in my life. HE truly is a DREAM horse..... He takes anything from toddlers to gamers and will try any new sport you throw at him.. He is the first horse I cut loose on at a DEAD run across the desert.. GIGGLING all the way :) FIRST time I felt like I was flying..... I was told he could not be with other horses.. see he had been a stallion for most of his life. BUT those that know me know I am determined to have a ranch where EVERYONE gets along.... and yes we've had some trying times.. AND yes a few very minor injuries... BUT.. Chico now lives with mares, donkeys, cattle, pigs, dogs..... I believe he's pretty happy :) AND I am too..... IF you come to the ranch and get a chance to ride Chico you are in for a very amazing life changing experience.....
Peanut and Jelly our VERY FIRST residents.. They came out of Redmond from Rideview Acres just as babies.. MY VERY first experience at farm animals.. Well, I'm not really sure you can call them that.. THEY are more like little clowns.... I so love my boys.. They will be turning 5 this year!.. I had high hopes of entering Jelly into the Delta program for visiting care facilities... ITS not too late and I still may do so.. He still is such a doll baby so caring... Time restraints and life changes kept me from it prior. Even so ... I know THEY ARE BOTH a great addition to the ranch and the Mission.
