Offended

WE open our hearts in goodness … kindness.. gladness….. The  "world" will continue to show you disappointment, disillusion, Lies, deceit, false hope, and heartache because of placing too much dependance and or importance on someone, something and when they/ it  fails It is or feels like a deep personal violation.      It is the enemy using them to try and pick pocket your Joy.  Not the flesh and blood person.   Joy comes from the Holy spirit and your relationship with God.    HOW DO you deal with being offended will alter your entire future.  Unable to function properly in your calling from the Lord because of the wounds/offenses that have been thrown at you.  AND the closer the relationship the more sever the offense…Proverbs 18:19 A brother offended is more unyielding than a strong city, and quarreling is like the bars of a castle.  The home is meant to be a shelter, safe place where we can grow, give and receive love.. When violated in your home the pain is deep.  Funny thing is only those you care about can hurt you… And indeed they will…. 1 Peter 1: 6-7 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. 7 These have come so that your faith--of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire--may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.
Sometimes we even will resent those that remind us of others who have hurt us.. Struggling to remove the spec out of our brothers eye while a log remains in ours.
Mathew 7:3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but udo not notice the log that is in your own eye?

"Holy spirit I recognize you are refining me like gold purifying my heart thru trials so that all the impurities of my heart will be gone out of my life."
A heart grows cold and hard if we allow ourselves to become engulfed in offenses.  We must trust in GOD and not flesh.  I will overcome the offense of others by developing greater faith in the love of God. 1 corinthians 13:4 - 6 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

I have started a grand journey one that will simply be amazing.  Not depending on flesh of the world but breaking out and trusting in Jesus.  Ever faithful always at my side.

Being offended is a normal thing in life. Sometimes, people don’t realize that they are hurting other people with their words. Most of the time, people think that they are joking so they are insensitive to the feelings of the people around them, but what they don’t realize is that they are already hurting others with their “jokes”. You don’t have to feel bad when you get offended because you absolutely have the right to do so. People need to understand that not all the time their jokes are funny. I agree with your suggestion to deal with being offended by spreading love instead. After all, love conquers all.
