I'm doing two awesome studies right now one on how to over come being offended .. As humans we will always be offended at some point usually by the ones we trust the most.  Its how you overcome the situation that determines your future.  The other study is on core values and spiritual core values and bringing them together to find your perfect "sweet spot".   Along my core values is having a partner that has those same core values.  A faith based loving and honored relationship thru Christ.   A few pieces of scripture of a husbands duties :

Thou shalt not take thy wife for granted, but will honour and respect her as thy equal. (1 Pet 3:7)
Thy highest allegiance, except God, shall be to thy wife, not thy relatives or friends. (Gen 2:24)
Thou shalt frequently tell thy wife how important & valuable she is to thee. (Phil 2:3; Prov 31:10-11)
Thou shalt hold thy wife's love by the same means that thou won it. (Sos 5:10-16)
Thou shalt actively establish family discipline with thy wife's help. (Eph 6:4)
Remember to do all the little things for thy wife when you say you will. (Mt 5:37)
Keep thine eyes on thy own wife, not thy neighbors. (Prov 5:15-20; Job 31:1; Jer 5:8)
Thou shalt make every effort to see things from thy wife's point of view. (Gen 21:12)
Thou shalt not fail to kiss thy wife every morning. (Sos 8:1)
Thou shalt not be stingy with thy wife when it comes to money. (Esther 5:3)
Scriptures for a wife:
1 Corinthians 11:3But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a wife is her husband, and the head of Christ is God.
1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.
Proverbs 19:14 House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.
Proverbs 31:11-12 The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.
1 Corinthians 11:8-9 For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man
Proverbs 31:10 An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels
1 Peter 3:4 But let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.
1 Corinthians 3:14 If the work that anyone has built on the foundation survives, he will receive a reward
Mark 10:6-9 But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate
Genesis 2:18Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone; I will make him a helper suitable for him
Genesis 2:21-23 So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the LordGod had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
Numbers 30:10-15 And if she vowed in her husband's house or bound herself by a pledge with an oath, and her husband heard of it and said nothing to her and did not oppose her, then all her vows shall stand, and every pledge by which she bound herself shall stand. But if her husband makes them null and void on the day that he hears them, then whatever proceeds out of her lips concerning her vows or concerning her pledge of herself shall not stand. Her husband has made them void, and the Lord will forgive her. Any vow and any binding oath to afflict herself, her husband may establish, or her husband may make void. But if her husband says nothing to her from day to day, then he establishes all her vows or all her pledges that are upon her. He has established them, because he said nothing to her on the day that he heard of them.

I've taken this week off to dive into my studies and also continue working on the transformation happening at the ranch in the direction of a ministry retreat(see "remodel" blog for updates) Changing habits and setting specific goals.  Focusing on my core values and getting a strategy plan in place to reach the goals I want to accomplish.  I am so very blessed and thankful for the friends in my life, my family and the blessings I've already received.  God bless and have a GREAT week-end!
